The resort is ideal for all those seeking a break to recharge their
batteries and make contact with nature. Torgnon is blessed with breathtaking
panoramas: the church, with its belltower, rises above the buildings
and, fields, hay meadows, woods and pine forests give a sensation of
peace and spaciousness all around.
In spring, when the dandelions flower, fields burst out in yellow.
Later, the colours take on a different hue thanks to the abundant variety
of flowers. Thus, in the mountain pastures, violets cluster in fragrant
patches of blue. In autumn, red and orange give the countryside a particular
charm. Magical views open out to walkers from the tracks winding up
to the higher peaks.
There are plenty on offer, too, for those who prefer less arduous treks,
perhaps rambling in search of the different hamlets with their chapels
and “rascards”, the wood-built hay and grain barns that
give an insight into traditional architecture.
